Two weeks ago four intrepid Queenslanders made the journey down to Pennant Hills to be part of the National Training in Community Organising run by Sydney Alliance.  Congratulations to Devett, Peter, Janet and Amanda for completing the training. You are now equipped with greater knowledge of community organising and now have the tools of relational organising to help build a better Queensland.

Thanks to the assistance from Jenn Acklin of the Sydney Alliance, and Trevor Jordan from Jigsaw, we had a really productive two days of learning together and forming new relationships. The feedback was positive, and we're looking to organise a second training session in late September.

This is the very beginnings of our web presence for our Community Organising alliance for south-east Queensland.

We will be building our webpage using Nationbuilder, an exciting tool that allows us to integrate our events, social media connections and contacts database. I can imagine this will become quite an important process to make sure we keep track of who is involved in our alliance, and provide easy ways for them to receive the information they need about what is going on.
