Maroonprint Election Assembly - Gladstone
Join Gladstone’s civil society leaders and community members to meet, relate, partake in a statewide action, and plan for next steps locally!
The Maroonprint Election Assembly will be the biggest people power event of the 2024 State Election.
Hundreds of people will Assemble in Brisbane, with people dialling in from satellite events taking place across the state. Together, we will negotiate with the Premier and Opposition Leader to share stories, propose solutions and negotiate outcomes with the based on Maroonprint 2024: Our Community Driven Agenda for Queensland.
In Gladstone, we will be at Communities for Children, the Nutchee building which is the yellow one, connected via video link to the Brisbane action as active participants. We will both hear what’s happening in Brisbane, and to represent Gladstone in the whole of Alliance action to make sure our voice is hear by the leaders of our state.
This event will be a chance to learn from other parts of the Alliance as we build towards our own pre-election action with MPs and candidates from across the region.
Through rolling listening campaigns with thousands of people, our Alliance has put together Maroonprint 2024 which captures the direction needed by the 1.7 million Queenslanders represented by our Alliance. It's a "Maroonprint" because why have a "blueprint" in Queensland!
Our 6 key issue areas are:
1. First Nations Justice.
2. Safe and Connected Communities.
3. Accelerating Queensland's Renewable Energy transition.
4. Welcoming New Queenslanders.
5. Thrive by Five.
6. Secure Work.
Read more about these issues and what we are asking for in Maroonprint 2024: Our Community Driven Agenda for Queensland.
This is a non-partisan action, as are all activities of Queensland Community Alliance. You can read more about our Alliance here.
We will have food for you!!
