Partner Profile - Presentation Sisters
Why is your organisation a member of the Alliance?
As Presentation Sisters we believe that the cry of Earth and the cry of people, made and kept poor, calls us to continue the mission of Jesus, to bring forth a sustainable society, founded on respect for Earth, universal human rights, economic justice and a culture of peace.
We want to support the Alliance because its core elements provide a way to bring about the structural change that makes such a society possible.

What does a Queensland more in line with your organisations values look like?
Queensland would be a place where the focus of political and social life is the Common Good, where people’s human rights are respected, where people have access to the resources to have their basic needs met and where there is justice for people and for Earth.
Why does your organisation believe in a stronger civil society that holds government and the market to account?Much of government at State and Federal levels is ineffective because of bureaucratic inertia, vested interests, political party gamesmanship and strategies focused on winning the next election.
The Common Good is lost in the midst of all this.
A strong civil society committed to the Common Good is necessary to remind governments and all members of society that we are better than this and we can work together to build a just and sustainable society.
