Pre- Election Calliope Community Night- CANCELLED
Come together in Calliope at the pub for this pre-election Community Night with local Member for Callide, Bryson Head. We have also invited along the new Labor candidate for Callide, Samantha Dendle too.
Through dozens of listening events and hundreds of individual or small group conversations about our future in the energy transition, local organisations have developed a shared issues agenda for the Calliope and Gladstone Region.
We will share stories, propose solutions for our region and update our community about the Calliope Community Hub.
Our key issue solutions are:
- Developing the Calliope Community hub
- Codesigning and trialling a simpler new system for claiming the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme in the Gladstone, Boyne Island, Tannum Sands and Calliope Region
- Portable Accessible Changing Places Bathroom
- Investment in place-based workforce implementation plans for quality early learning and care and allied health services
- Brief intervention worker for the region and the state-wide rollout of social prescribing, including our area as a priority location.
Come along for a pub meal and get involved!
This is a non-partisan action, as are all activities of the Queensland Community Alliance. You can read more about our Alliance below or visit our website.
This event has been cancelled as we received a cancellation from Bryson Head today (8th October) informing us that he is no longer able to attend. We will regroup and let you know next steps.
