Civic Academy 2: Community Centre Funding

Join us and a some leading experts at the second of four civic academies. Together, we'll hear about emerging research in community centre capacity and funding, and start thinking about how to act on this in your organisation and community.

Our civic academies will aim to:

  • Develop the technical and policy knowledge among Alliance leaders and within Alliance institutions
  • Build on our Maroonprint Vision and Principles for Queensland Reconstruction
  • Increase the ambition and imagination around public policy

The first session on 4 August will be a slightly longer session, so to explore the links between the community organising, civil society, democracy and the way we operate in public life more broadly.

These civic academies will build on and develop the Maroonprint for Queensland Reconstruction — a vision and set of principles that represent what we as organised civil society want to see as we recover from the ongoing Covid19 crisis. You can read more about it or download a copy here.
