Our Renewable Future: a Gladstone Region Community Conversation
There's lots of talk in the media about our community in Gladstone! Join us for a community conversation to find out what's happening.
Gladstone is at the forefront of the renewable energy transition, but with so many moving pieces, it can be hard to know what is happening.
Queensland Community Alliance has been hosting conversations about energy transition for a few years now, but we thought it was time to bring people back together again to educate ourselves on this in the year 2025!
So we're headed to Ward's to discuss renewable energy and what positive outcomes which strengthen our community look like.
We want this to be a real conversation, in person and away from Facebook comment sections! We will invite experts and leaders in our community to present a full picture, and share facts and stories of our experiences.
The details are:
Where? Ward’s Brewery on Thursday March 27th
When? Arrive from 5:45pm for a 6pm sharp start- 7.45pm
What? The evening will consist of presentations and small group discussions, and a variety of ways for you to take action. This is an opportunity for education and conversation and everyone is welcome.
We will have food available so registration is essential. Please contact us via the details below if you have particular dietary or accessibility requirements. Invite your friends and community!
We acknowledge that this event will take place on the land of the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng, Taribelang Bunda Peoples and acknowledge their Elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
