Gladstone Election Assembly Lunch
Come together in Gladstone for a community assembly and lunch with our local candidates for the seat of Gladstone in our state election.
Through dozens of listening events and hundreds of individual or small group conversations about our future in the energy transition, local organisations have developed a shared issues agenda for the Gladstone Region.
We will share stories, propose solutions for our region and ask for commitments from the candidates to our community.
Our key issue solutions are:
- Codesigning and trialling a simpler new system for claiming the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme in the Gladstone, Boyne Island, Tannum Sands and Calliope Region
- An energy plan for Queensland and community benefits in renewable energy transition
- Developing the Calliope Community hub
- Portable Accessible Changing Places Bathroom
- Investment in place-based workforce implementation plans for quality early learning and care and allied health services
- Brief intervention worker for the region and the state-wide rollout of social prescribing, including our area as a priority location.
Come along for lunch, invite your friends and colleagues and get involved. 11.45am for a 12noon start.
This is a non-partisan action, as are all activities of the Queensland Community Alliance. You can read more about our Alliance below or visit our website.
