Ipswich Collective Impact "Common Agenda" launch
We knew that things needed to improve in West Moreton mental health...
But we didn't realise how serious the situation is.
We have the hospital region with the second highest rate of suicide in Queensland. And in spite of the NDIS rollout, people with profound and long-lasting mental are missing out, and being left in the lurch.
This is why the Collective Impact project has been so important. The hospital services, the Primary Health network and our mental health services know they must act to address this crisis!
Thanks to our actions, this is happening. We have a collective impact project, and the leadership team is ready to annouce the common agenda - the goal that all of us will strive together to achieve. We have got the Mayor onboard, and a wide range of services prepared to be part of it.
Finally, after so many terrible stories, of loss, we are ready to tell our collective story of progress. But we need to demonstrate to the health services and the political leadership that this is a priority!
The Collective Impact team have booked the Metropole Hotel for 9:30am-11am on Friday 9 March for a launch of the common agenda. We need a strong Community Alliance representation at the event.
Will you stand in solidary with those who have suffered loss? Will you help our community save lives?
