Logan Winter Gathering
You’re invited to the Logan Core Team’s Winter Gathering!
We’ve had a break in our work in Logan over the past few months, focusing on the organising effort towards the 2021 Budget Assembly, which saw some massive wins for the communities we organise across Queensland. This included a $2bn investment in renewable energy transmission and storage, and funding for a workplace rights education program for migrant workers.
But now it’s time to refocus on the local.
Come along to our Winter Gathering to make plans for the rest of the year, including:
- Building our relational power
- Timing a people-powered action
- Refining our issues.
The Logan Jobs for Logan People and the Safe and Connected Communities research action teams have completed dozens of research action meetings with academics, council, and other experts. We’re starting to build our relational power through listening to community leaders, while finalising our research. Come along to get involved!
