You are invited to the Logan Jobs and Housing forum!
This action will bring together 50 community leaders from community organisations, faith groups, trade unions and ethnic associations in Logan.
This forum will be building power towards an action with Logan City Council's Mayor, Darren Power in early 2022. On the night, we will be:
-
Sharing stories and building relationships across our diverse civil society organisations.
-
Hearing from experts and forming teams to dig deep into:
-
Community cooperative work structures. What are they, how can they transform the way our city works, and what's involved in our plan to build a cooperative here in Logan.
-
Access to housing in Logan. All of Queensland is facing a housing crisis. But with cheap rent relative to capital cities; ongoing covid restrictions in the southern states; and limited access to temporary accommodation, housing stress is particularly pertinent in Logan. Join this team to be part of shaping our action around housing in Logan.

- Making turn out commitments so that our Assembly with the Mayor in early 2022 is as powerful as it can be.
Events like this work best when they're bigger, so be sure to recruit your workplace, congregation, craft group and neighbours!
