Springwood Assembly 2024

Join community members and leaders to act for the common good in Springwood and Logan.

We are faith groups, unions, community organisations and ethnic associations.  

Together we will share stories, propose solutions and negotiate outcomes with the candidates for Springwood.

We will focus on:

• Funding Brief Intervention Support Workers to support neighbourhood centres respond to cost-of-living and homelessness.
• Addressing social isolation and loneliness in our community through rolling out social prescribing. 
• An Energy Plan that achieves Qld's 80% Renewable Energy target and drives down power bills.
• Extending the funding of Migrant Workplace Rights Education and Support project.
• Giving young kids the chance to Thrive by Five, including a place-based workforce plan for Logan so that every child and family gets the support they need.
• Supporting the Hurricane Stars to build a women’s only pool that is a safe place for women to learn to swim?
